Ceiling Insulation:
Terra Lana ceiling insulation is based on wool, one of New Zealand's most abundant natural resources. Wool insulation is safe for people and leaves no nasty legacies at the end of its natural life. In addition to this it breathes, doesn’t slump, resists fire, absorbs noise and takes 7 times less energy to manufacture than fibreglass insulation.
Terra Lana ceiling insulation uses pre-consumer recycled wool sourced from textile and carpet manufacturers that would otherwise be destined for landfills. At the end of your house’s life it will break down naturally and safely when composted.
Terra Lana’s products are appraised by BRANZ (Building Research Association of New Zealand). BRANZ appraised products have met stringent requirements and represent the gold standard within the building industry.
Applications - Terra Lana ceiling insulation comes in standard size blankets/ cuts or can be manufactured to order. It is designed for use as a safe, efficient thermal insulation in commercial buildings and private dwellings.
Underfloor Insulation
Terra Lana underfloor insulation is a wool/ polyester laminate specifically designed for the underfloor insulation of new and existing suspended floors. Its layered composition means it is semi-rigid, ensuring a close fit between the insulation and the floor (gaps dramatically reduce the effectiveness of the insulation).
Like all other Terra Lana insulation, the underfloor insulation is safe to handle by hand and requires no protective clothing to install.
